Electro Mechanic

Description:

Sabert Corporation is seeking a skilled Electro Mechanic to join their team. The role involves performing repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on machinery, facilities, and utilities. The Electro Mechanic will work in accordance with safety protocols and company policies while training other mechanics and operators to maintain equipment in optimal condition. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure smooth operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs on machinery, facilities, and utilities per Work Order Requests.

• Prepare and coordinate Work Orders for regular maintenance and preventive maintenance.

• Log and track work on production equipment and update preventive maintenance programs.

• Perform major preventative maintenance related to electrical or mechanical functions.

• Train mechanics and operators to maintain machinery effectively.

• Complete Maintenance Work Orders, report work done, parts used, and time spent.

• Fill out daily time sheets detailing tasks and time spent on jobs.

• Identify items needing purchase or replacement and place requisitions.

• Recommend spare parts to maintain stock items.

• Coordinate with maintenance manager on repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment improvements.

• Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures and company policies.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school diploma.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical machine maintenance (plastics industry preferred).

• Strong communication skills in English.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes; strong electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of thermoforming and extrusion of plastics preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints.

• Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as shop tools.

• Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root causes of problems.

• Willingness to work overtime and be on-call for off-hours emergencies.

• Qualified to operate trucks.

Physical Demands:

• Able to bend and lift tools, parts, and machine equipment up to 50 pounds.

• Capable of pushing, pulling, or carrying light loads.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to elevated temperatures on the manufacturing floor.

• Constant exposure to noise (hearing protection required).

• Some exposure to dust and fumes (PPE required).
