Description:
As the Enterprise Architect, you will shape and guide the technology landscape to enable business strategy, reduce complexity, and manage risk. You will define enterprise-wide architectural direction, influence investment decisions, and partner with business and technology leaders to modernize platforms, improve resilience, and accelerate delivery.
This role balances strategic thinking with hands-on architectural leadership, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term enterprise goals.
This role will report to the Senior Director, BEWS Architecture & Integration Platforms
What you will do:
Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance
- Define, evolve, and socialize enterprise architecture principles, standards, policies, and guardrails aligned to business outcomes and an appropriate risk posture.
- Guide technology decision-making through architecture governance, trade-off analysis, and clear recommendations.
Target State & Roadmaps
- Develop current and target state architectures across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure.
- Create capability-based roadmaps that align technology investments to business priorities.
- Identify modernization paths, technical debt reduction strategies, and portfolio rationalization opportunities.
- Recommend platform consolidation, lifecycle management, and decommissioning strategies to reduce complexity and total cost of ownership (TCO).
Solution & Integration Architecture
- Review and influence solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise reference architectures and non-functional requirements (security, reliability, performance, availability, and operability).
- Promote API-first, event-driven, and domain-aligned integration patterns.
- Enable reuse through shared services, platforms, and architectural patterns.
Data & Security by Design
- Partner with data, security, and privacy teams to embed governance, classification, access controls, and zero-trust principles into solution designs.
- Ensure architectures meet regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements.
Standards, Reference Architectures & Patterns
- Maintain architecture models, decision records, and technology standards catalogs.
- Create, curate, and evolve reusable reference architectures and design patterns to accelerate delivery and improve consistency.

- Strong experience in enterprise architecture, including business capability mapping, portfolio roadmapping, and value-based decision-making.
- Ability to connect business strategy to technology direction and execution.
Systems Thinking
- End-to-end perspective across applications, integration, data, infrastructure, and operations.
- Comfort operating across multiple time horizons—from near-term delivery to long-term transformation.
Security, Reliability & Operational Excellence
- Proven ability to embed non-functional requirements, resilience, and operational considerations into architectural designs.
- Familiarity with modern security architectures and reliability patterns.
Engineering Fundamentals
- Solid grounding in modular design, reusability, automation, observability, and performance.
