Request Technology, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Director, Enterprise Monitoring to lead a specialized team responsible for enterprise observability, monitoring strategy, and optimization of cloud-native applications within AWS Kubernetes environments. This leadership role requires deep expertise in monitoring solutions, financial industry experience, and the ability to translate executive directives into actionable technical strategies.

The successful candidate will drive enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, ensuring compliance, resilience, and optimal performance across production and non-production environments. This position requires technical leadership, strong collaboration skills, and proven experience in implementing modern monitoring and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise monitoring and observability strategy for cloud-native applications in AWS Kubernetes environments.

• Translate senior management directives into technical initiatives and deliverable outcomes.

• Oversee monitoring system installations, upgrades, and configurations using automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.

• Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are maintained, while resolving escalated technical challenges.

• Ensure monitoring system designs align with compliance, regulatory, and security requirements.

• Support production and development teams by debugging and analyzing issues using APM data, logging monitors, and profiling tools.

• Develop detailed procedural, operational, and troubleshooting documentation for monitoring systems.

• Manage, mentor, and provide direction to enterprise monitoring teams, driving efficiency and best practices.

• Allocate resources effectively to resolve complex technical issues across environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 7–10 years of experience in distributed, multi-platform environments.

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing cloud-native applications and technical projects.

• Financial industry experience is mandatory.

• Strong expertise in enterprise cloud monitoring solutions such as Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, ITRS, or OTEL.

• Hands-on experience with AWS log collection tools (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs).

• Proficiency in scripting, coding against APIs, and managing monitoring integrations.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, and Terraform.

• Knowledge of ITIL best practices, systems administration, change management, and network technologies.

• Strong understanding of security controls, encryption (SSL/TLS, PKI), and technologies supporting microservices.
