Entry-level Bank Teller

Description:

TD Bank is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Teller I to join its team in Melrose, Massachusetts. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a high-energy retail banking environment, delivering outstanding customer service and supporting the financial needs of clients.

As a Teller I, you will play a crucial role in executing TD’s brand promise by creating legendary customer experiences. You will process a variety of banking transactions with accuracy and speed, educate clients about digital and self-service banking options, and help guide them toward financial solutions by referring them to the appropriate internal partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box operations

• Handle cash transactions, including check cashing and night deposits, while maintaining strict accuracy

• Engage with customers to understand their banking preferences and promote digital self-service options

• Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues and escalating complex problems as needed

• Maintain and balance cash drawers, ATMs, and other teller equipment following compliance protocols

• Ensure adherence to all operational, audit, and security procedures including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act

• Follow dual control and fraud prevention guidelines to minimize risks

Candidate Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required

• 6 months of related experience or equivalent (e.g., education, military, volunteering) preferred

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Flexible to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, occasional lifting under 25 lbs, and working in a customer-facing retail setting

Work Schedule:

• 20 hours per week (part-time)

• Occasional weekends and evenings may be required
