Equipment Associate

Description:

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations by performing various manual and operational tasks. This role involves assisting service technicians, sales staff, and other personnel to ensure seamless customer service and equipment readiness. This position serves as a gateway to advancement opportunities within the company, including progression into Driver and Service Technician development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect returned rental equipment for damage, hours used, mileage, and fuel level.

• Ensure safety decals and compliance, confirming equipment is in proper working order.

• Clean and maintain equipment and workspace.

• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare it for dispatch.

• Conduct customer checkouts, demonstrations, and assist with equipment delivery/pick-up.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.

• Attention to safety and superior customer service skills.
