Fabrication Technician

Description:

Repligen Corporation, a leader in providing machined plastic products and services for biotech drugs, vaccines, cell therapies, and pharmaceuticals, is seeking a Fabrication Technician for their new Shrewsbury, MA facility. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for hands-on craftsmanship, including backgrounds in woodworking, welding, or similar trades. The position focuses on producing high-quality plastic components with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, or client concepts to build custom plastic assemblies and equipment.

• Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to organize workflow and operations.

• Use hand tools and traditional techniques, including woodworking and welding, to manufacture plastic devices.

• Ensure high standards of craftsmanship, finishing, and durability in all projects.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

• Operate various hand and power tools, such as band saws, drill presses, and pipe benders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent; must be 18 years or older.

• Fluency in English (reading and writing) due to safety and compliance requirements.

• Available to work 6:00am - 2:30pm (1st Shift).

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to read and understand dimensional drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and job order requirements.

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.

• Finished carpentry, welding, or similar fabrication experience is a plus.
