Description:
This position is based in Anchorage but will primarily perform deep cleaning and painting services to facilities throughout Alaska. The position is full time.
This position requires the employee to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Cleans offices, public spaces, industrial areas, warehouses, exterior areas, and additional areas as required.
- Assists journeyman level painter in small interior painting projects.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors.
- Cleans carpets
- Dusts both low and high areas using ladders and lifts.
- Wipes down or cleans various surfaces to include walls and ceilings.
- Cleans windows.
- Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
- Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials.
- Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas.
- May change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance.
- May operate a vehicle
- Position requires routine weekly, overnight stays within the State of Alaska with travel by aircraft
- Other related duties may also be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Some combination or education or experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes. Experience in facility maintenance and painting preferred
- A valid Alaskan driver's license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Position requires successful screening through multiple background and security checks.
