Working within our growing US Services HUB, you'll solve technical challenges in electrical substations nationwide while building strong customer relationships. You'll perform maintenance and service work that supports communities and contributes to the energy transition. Your work will include specialized technologies like vacuum oil processing and equipment diagnostics.

With up to 85% travel, you'll work in diverse environments and develop expertise across various technical challenges. How You'll Make An Impact
 

  • Execute precision mechanical work in high-voltage electrical substations across diverse geographical regions
  • Conduct comprehensive equipment inspections and diagnostic assessments to prevent costly failures
  • Service and repair sophisticated transformer systems using advanced troubleshooting methodologies
  • Analyze complex technical data to develop optimal solutions for critical customer challenges
  • Operate state-of-the-art Vacuum Oil Processors (VOPs) and specialized oil handling equipment
  • Maintain detailed processing logs and provide technical support for transformer testing operations
  • Utilize cutting-edge software platforms for data management and site visit documentation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement innovative maintenance strategies
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
     

Your Background
 

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 2+ years of professional work experience in technical or mechanical fields
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to travel up to 85% nationwide
  • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform demanding tasks for extended periods
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions for up to 12 hours daily
  • Class A CDL preferred for operating specialized service vehicles
  • Welding certification or experience preferred for enhanced field capabilities
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
