Field Support Technician

Diversified, a global technology solutions provider, is seeking a Senior ESS Field Support Technician to join its team in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting electronic security systems (ESS) such as card access, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion detection systems across various environments, including business offices, data centers, and construction sites.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for advanced-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ESS systems. Additionally, this role involves client-facing duties, such as serving as a liaison between Diversified, the client, and the on-site team, scheduling meetings, and ensuring optimal functionality of security systems. The position requires strong coordination skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure environments.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, possess certifications from ESS manufacturers (such as Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, Milestone, etc.), and have a solid foundation in computer networking and ESS-related software applications. Physical ability to lift, crouch, kneel, and work in varying environmental conditions is also essential. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required, and the role involves full-time, on-site work Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventive maintenance and break/fix repairs of ESS systems

• Technical liaison between client and Diversified

• Oversight of ESS systems improvements and support

• Diagnostics, configuration, and operation of ESS technologies

• Documentation, ticket tracking, and analytics reporting

• Professional communication with executive stakeholders

• Compliance with labor and safety standards

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• AutoCAD / Visio competency

• Basic wiring and hand/power tool proficiency

• Ability to work in varied environments (heights, hot/cold, confined spaces)

• Must pass background and drug screening
