Maintenance Technician

Description:

Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join its team in King William, VA. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of industrial and packaging machinery within the manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs, and ensuring the smooth functionality of all equipment.

The role requires a strong technical background across multiple domains:

• Mechanical: Hands-on experience with bearings, conveyors, sprockets, power transmissions, chains, pneumatics, hydraulics, pump operations, and rigging terminology.

• Electrical: Solid understanding of Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, motor connections, AC/DC motors, transformers, and electrical components.

• Welding & Cutting: Proficiency in welding techniques (stick/MIG), gas cutting, proper grounding, and equipment maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and PPE compliance.

• Lubrication: Knowledge of lubrication methods, oil sample collection, and analysis to ensure smooth equipment operation.

The Maintenance Technician will strictly adhere to safety policies and quality standards, reporting hazards immediately, performing quality checks, and maintaining a zero-defect, zero-waste attitude. They will also be expected to comply with the Nestlé Quality Management System to ensure consumer trust and product reliability.
