Description:
Vitalant is currently seeking candidates for a Financial Analyst role to support the FP&A group in the analysis and planning of assigned divisions and/or functional teams of Vitalant. This position will partner with FP&A Director to develop and analyze the division’s annual budget and forecast.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with FP&A Director on the monthly, quarterly, and annual finance deliverables for their assigned divisions or functions.
- Provides monthly variance analysis submissions to VP, Finance (FP&A).
- Works with FP&A Director to accurately complete all required deliverables (monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc).
- Works with FP&A Director in managing company capital expenditure budgets.
- Completes monthly close accruals and review of financials for completeness and accuracy.
- Manages any system inconsistencies that may occur in systems upload.
- Reviews and approve PO requisitions to ensure coding is accurate and supported by budget.
- Communicates effectively with both Corporate and Division Leadership and Management.
- Performs ad hoc analysis as directed.
Knowledge/ Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Basic understanding of financial statements required.
- Knowledge of business concepts required.
- Knowledge of budget development preferred.
Experience
- Two or more years relevant finance experience required.
- Experience working in Financial Planning Systems (Hyperion, Adaptive, etc.) required.
