Fluids Systems Cad Designer Ii

Description:

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of designers and engineers, you will be responsible to create models, drawings, and configurations of launch vehicle hardware with a focus on mechanical and fluid systems including secondary structures, piping, mechanisms and components. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of design, manufacturing, testing and integration. You will provide CAD and PLM support to generate models and drawings, create design alternatives, build interface control models and drawings, and deliver geometry suitable for creating Finite Element Models (FEM). You will incorporate drafting standards and standard drawing notes based on company, program, and industry standards. In addition, you will perform model and drawing check activities during release reviews. Finally, you will build and manage the design standards for the New Glenn Fluids Subsystem. The best Blue Origin technical designers are versatile and skilled with experience using Creo’s supplemental extensions, such as AFX, Piping and Cabling, as well as proficient in manipulating associated Windchill product structures and change notices.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
