The Stylist supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager and plays a key role in executing performance metrics, delivering consistent guest satisfaction, and maintaining operational standards. Ulta Beauty seeks individuals passionate about beauty, eager to stay up to date with trends, and committed to building lasting client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

🟣 Performance:

• Deliver a full suite of hair care services including design, cutting, coloring, texture treatments, keratin, blowouts, extensions, updos, and perms

• Offer makeup applications and ear piercing services (where applicable)

• Achieve personal weekly service sales goals (e.g., $800 target) and contribute to overall store goals

• Perform live product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and drive retail sales

• Stay informed on new trends and product innovations

• Support in-store events and marketing campaigns to elevate the Ulta guest experience

• Consult with guests to assess needs and recommend suitable services and products

• Build meaningful guest relationships and encourage loyalty program enrollment

• Collaborate with skincare professionals and retail associates for a full-service experience

• Uphold professional standards and Ulta’s service values in every guest interaction

• Attend mandatory trainings to stay current with trends and techniques

🟣 Process:

• Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and compliance standards in alignment with state board requirements

• Use client booking tools and rebooking practices to build a steady clientele

• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of salon space and tools

• Follow Ulta Beauty’s operational and dress code policies

• Protect company assets and minimize loss

Qualifications:

• Valid Cosmetology License (state-specific)

• Salon experience preferred; open to passionate professionals eager to learn

• Proficiency in hair cutting, coloring, styling, treatments, and other service techniques

• Skill in recommending and selling beauty products

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Physical ability to lift up to 10 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks throughout shift

Working Conditions:

• Frequent mobility, lifting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and crouching

• Standing for extended periods

• Manual dexterity required for salon services and tool usage
