Health And Safety Manager

Description:

Our client is looking for a new EH&S Manager to support their manufacturing facility in Lima, reporting to the Plant Manager and the EH&S Director.

The successful candidate will be directing, overseeing, and coordinating the deployment of our client’s Health and Safety Management System, as part of the site leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor all safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental programs for company, local, state, and federal OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance.

• Develop policies and programs for plant personnel safety, including training programs, processes, and procedures for the prevention of hazards.

• Document, recommend, and monitor corrective actions to ensure adherence to EHS programs.

• Oversee and facilitate training for new hire orientation as well as other EHS training for site personnel.

• Maintain, analyze, and process EHS audits in plant and shop areas.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of EHS experience in an industrial environment.

• 7–10 years of Environmental and Safety experience is preferred.

• CPR certification is preferred; first aid/responder or EMT certification; and OSHA 10 hours of training.

• Ability to travel to project locations on a regular basis.
