Highway Design Engineer

Description:

BlackRock Resources LLC is urgently seeking a Principal Highway Design Engineer to manage roadway and highway analysis and design projects for PennDOT, PA Turnpike, County, and Local clients. The role involves managing client communications, supervising subconsultants, mentoring staff, and monitoring labor budgets and schedules. You will also contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage highway/roadway design projects and analysis

• Handle client communication and maintain relationships

• Manage subconsultants and mentor roadway/highway staff

• Monitor labor budgets and project schedules

• Lead and support marketing and business development activities

• Prepare proposals and give oral presentations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering

• 12+ years of experience in highway/roadway design

• Proven experience winning work from PennDOT

• Proficient in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software

• Experience managing a highway design team

• Strong skills in business development, client relationship management, proposal writing, and oral presentations

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania
