ESSENTIAL TASKS

Marketing

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive project management content calendar to effectively organize and disseminate the VBCPS message across diverse social media platforms.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment marketing strategies to attract top-tier candidates.
  • Create compelling job postings that effectively communicate the division's unique value proposition.
  • Utilize various marketing channels, including social media, job boards, and industry-specific platforms, to promote job opportunities and the positive aspects of working for VBCPS.
  • Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand throughout a wide range of marketing channels.
  • Balance the use of various paid and organic marketing channels throughout marketing campaigns such as Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Indeed campaigns.
  • Monitor and maintain HR social media sites by providing frequent engaging content updates including writing/posting content such as links, videos, and pictures of the workplace.
  • Serve as HR liaison to the public by responding to social media follower questions about working for VBCPS or applying for jobs.
  • Develop web content and design for all HR social media sites and serve as the department's intranet site owner.
  • Research options and advise management regarding marketing strategies and technology systems for recruitment and employment.

Recruitment

  • Design materials to include recruitment flyers, brochures, visual presentations, handouts, large banners, and other promotional items.
  • Manage employee and applicant platforms for the department to include system upgrades, modifications, testing, and enhancements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage the ROP to include outreach, strategic communication, registration, website development, modifications, and maintenance; collaborate with staffing administrators to identify prospective ROP candidates using our HRIS system and other technical means.
  • Assist with the design, planning, marketing, and execution of annual recruitment fairs and onboarding presentations to include new hire feedback surveys.
  • Provide creative support for HR-hosted/sponsored events including the production of videos and materials.
  • Serve as the department's point of contact with various promotional vendors and media organizations, etc.

Surveys and Data Analysis

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify survey objectives, create survey questions, and interpret survey results to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage data analytics to measure and optimize the performance of HR recruitment and retention marketing campaigns, including tracking key metrics and identifying areas for improvement; provide reports as needed.
  • Develop innovative ideas for increasing departmental efficiency through analysis of current systems, processes, and practices by gathering, monitoring, and analyzing HR-related survey data.
  • Stay updated on the latest HR and marketing trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve our recruitment marketing strategies.
  • Serve as the HR Liaison with the Department of Communications and Community Engagement.
  • Perform related work as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have a knowledge of social media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods as well as familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in digital marketing. Must have knowledge of both paid and organic marketing channels and a strong understanding of traditional and emerging market channels. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be creative and have strong presentation skills; a high level of accuracy, excellent organizational and tracking skills with great attention to detail, proofreading and collating complex information into reports; and excellent time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize a wide range of competing demands. Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and deliver results. Must be a flexible problem solver with a professional service-oriented attitude and ability to work in teams as well as independently in the absence of detailed instruction. Must be proficient in utilizing data analytics and reporting tools to track recruitment metrics and survey data.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field. Experience in managing digital communication and/or social media sites, computer software applications (including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, survey software, desktop publishing, web/graphic design, and event registration/scheduling software), and experience with media buying with external vendors.
