The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process.

This position is eligible for a hybrid telework scheduled for employee who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. Specific telework schedules may be discussed further during the interview process. Telework is only available to residents of California.

Under administrative direction of the Deputy Director, Enterprise Information Services (EIS), California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), the incumbent will serve as the Information Technology Manager II (ITM II) for the Offender Management (OM) & Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS) programs which are highly complex CDCR information technology (IT) programs. The OM & SOMS program scope encompasses all the CDCR business areas supporting offender, parole management and programs supporting thousands of state and local law enforcement personnel, providing data essential to offender and public safety. The Information Technology Manager II (ITM II) manages strategies, plans, projects, Offender Management budget, and is responsible or contract and vendor oversight.

Working Conditions
The main EIS location is in a park-like campus setting across from the Folsom Lake auto dealerships in Rancho Cordova, close to US Highway 50 and the Hazel light rail station. We are minutes from historic Sutter Street, the Folsom Premium Outlets, and many dining establishments.

The position is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
