Description:
As An Infrastructure Technician, You Will
- Install, service, maintain, and repair low voltage cabling systems (Cat 3–6, fiber optic).
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and upgrade structured cabling infrastructure to improve functionality.
- Handle installation/removal of cabinets, racks, cable trays, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with team members and report work status to management for compliance and efficiency.
- Document work orders, billing, payroll, and SLA progress in company systems.
- Request supplies, transport tools/equipment, and respond to emergency service calls.
- Attend training, meetings, and achieve KPI targets.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule and perform other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Associate degree or technical certification, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 6 months of experience with low voltage cabling systems.
- Manage work tickets according to customer SLA's using Service Now ticketing system.
- Computer skills such as Microsoft 365, WebEx, putty, wireshark.
- Skilled in installing, terminating, and testing cables (twisted pair, coax, tray, fiber).
- Knowledge of cabling terminology and standards (BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, NEC) with ability to read blueprints.
- Strong customer service, communication, and reliability; able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license.
