Insurance Defense Litigation Associate

A boutique securities and corporate finance law firm is currently seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate to manage and oversee complex insurance coverage matters from start to finish. The role demands a skilled attorney with a strong background in insurance defense litigation and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance to clients across a range of insurance issues. This position is located in New York, NY, with additional opportunities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of complex insurance coverage litigation.

• Develop legal strategies and assess potential liability in various coverage scenarios.

• Represent clients in general liability, professional liability, directors and officers (D&O), and employment-related insurance matters.

• Provide strategic litigation guidance and maintain strong client relationships.

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Admission to practice law in New York (additional states such as NJ or PA are a plus).

• 5–7 years of experience in high-stakes insurance coverage disputes.

• Proficiency in managing multi-party, high-exposure litigation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

• Competitive base salary ranging from $175,000 to $225,000 annually.

• Potential for additional incentives based on performance.
