Description:
Foster Garvey PC, a prominent and inclusive law firm with six offices across the U.S., is actively seeking a seasoned International Trade Attorney to join its growing practice as an Income Principal. The firm is renowned for representing leading U.S. companies engaged in global trade and offers a dynamic opportunity to work on complex international transactions across a wide range of industries. The position is hybrid and can be based in Spokane, Seattle, Portland, Washington D.C., or New York.
As part of the firm’s collaborative and diverse legal team, you will work on customs compliance, trade regulations, and international trade advisory, supporting high-level business clients and contributing to significant pro bono and public interest matters.
Counsel clients on customs and import control matters, including:
Tariff classification
Valuation and transfer pricing
Trade audits and forced labor compliance
Enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders
Handle complex international transactions and regulatory compliance
Collaborate across practice groups within the firm’s six offices
Contribute to DEI and pro bono initiatives as eligible for billable hour credits
Manage multiple client matters independently with a high level of professionalism
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
Minimum 7 years of experience in customs/trade law, with strong specialization in relevant areas
Portable book of business required
Strong academic background and superior legal writing and analytical skills
Highly responsive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client matters
Excellent communication and client service skills
Commitment to working both independently and as part of a diverse team
💼 Annual Salary Range: $200,000 – $325,000 (based on experience, location, and qualifications)
💰 Estimated Monthly Salary: $16666 to $27083
