Inventory Control Supervisor

Responsibilities

You will~
 

• Sets cycle counts of inventory, researches and clears any discrepancies
• Plans layout of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
• Supervises employees through staff development, assigning duties and examining work to ensure compliance of the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws; manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems
• Recommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center which will improve accuracy of inventory and/or productivity
• Reviews daily reports and ensure completion of key tasks designed to keep an accurate inventory and ensuring team understands and works toward performance goals
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock, provides information to customer
• Prepares work schedules for special projects and periodic inventories, and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs
• Work well cross-functionally with all departments in warehouse and office (Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance) and collaborating with HQ as needed.
