A Day In The Life
 

• Manage the daily investment portfolio trade activity to ensure maximum risk-adjusted returns that outpace the index while maintaining liquidity.
• Manage the development of the asset allocation strategies for all corporate portfolios, pension, 401k, foundation, and other non-qualified benefit assets.
• Manage the development of investment strategies to increase returns within approved parameters (e.g., investment policy and RBC).
• Participate and assist with all investment portfolio managers proactively to identify performance gaps and risks to benchmarks.
• Assist with the Treasury partnership to ensure liquidity needs have been identified and planned for with regards to Operating Fund maturities and the timing of those maturities to support operations and/or critical initiatives.
• Inform Treasury and Investment leadership and other colleagues regarding current economic trends that may enhance business decisions and strategies in the department as well as the broader enterprise.
• Manage the development of proactive analysis, solutions, and strategies to support enterprise strategies and related department, goals, and focus areas including but not limited to cost savings, improvements in execution, and optimization.
• Manage the development of analytics, peer comparisons, management reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage respected accountabilities.
• Manage the development of forecasts and budgets and manage work accordingly to these commitments with explanations to deviations.
• Exemplify fiduciary stewardship over all financial assets. Adhere to conducting work through development and approved policies, processes, and controls to ensure compliance and to mitigate risks for the organization.
• Assist the Investment Director on any other initiatives including but not limited to support on board and committed related content.
• Manage and develop a diverse talent by providing an inclusive environment that promotes diversity of thought and team engagement. This should include proactive coaching, career development conversations, and performance coaching and evaluation.
