It Support Technician

They are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Technician to join their team supporting classified systems and sensitive defense programs. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining critical IT infrastructure in secure environments, working with elite engineers and cybersecurity experts. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1st and 2nd tier support to employees using classified systems.

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot air-gapped IT environments and associated hardware and software.

• Conduct system hardening using DISA STIGs and other best practices.

• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations, working alongside ISSMs and ISSOs.

• Write technical documentation in an accessible format for non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide on-call, on-site support and lift equipment up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Handle virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, and container platforms such as Docker.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience with physical and virtualized infrastructure including servers, desktops, and networking.

• Strong background in deploying and maintaining secure classified IT systems.

• Familiarity with configuration, integration, and compliance procedures.

• Holds an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

• Possesses a DoD 8570/8140 certification (Security+, CySA+, CISSP, etc.).

• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and proactively resolve issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).

• Low-voltage cabling knowledge.

• Familiarity with secure apps and services (Sentris, VoIP, Gitlab, WSUS, etc.).
