Java Tech Lead

Description:

E-Solutions is seeking a Java Tech Lead (Coding Expert) to join their team in Whitehouse Station, NJ. This is a hybrid onsite contract role, and candidates must be based in New York/New Jersey. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in modern Java development, architectural design, and experience working in fast-paced Agile environments—preferably within the insurance domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development using Java 18/21, Spring Boot 3, Kafka, and MongoDB

• Take ownership of requirement analysis, architecture, and solution design

• Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to refine business requirements

• Interface effectively with both onshore and offshore development teams

• Ensure high-quality code, system performance, and adherence to design patterns

• Deliver enterprise-grade solutions within defined timelines under Agile methodologies

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making

Required Skills and Experience:

• 12–15 years of hands-on experience in IT with a focus on Java-based technologies

• Strong expertise in Java 18/21, Spring Boot 3, Kafka, and MongoDB

• Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable

• Proven experience in architectural design and end-to-end solution delivery

• Excellent client-facing and communication skills

• Ability to drive collaboration between offshore and onsite teams

• Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and best practices
