Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician role is part of the Product Deployment team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment according to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and company policies. This position involves hands-on deployment of AC-powered devices such as LPR cameras, video cameras, docking stations, and radar systems, supporting Flock’s mission to reduce crime across communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot electrical components including wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and panels.

• Perform testing and troubleshooting using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, voltage testers, ammeters).

• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and NEC codes.

• Estimate time and materials required for projects and maintain high-quality standards for all work.

• Train and mentor apprentice electricians when needed.

• Work on ladders, bucket trucks, or other equipment to install devices up to 30’ high.

• Provide installation documentation and photos via the Flock field app.

• Conduct site surveys and communicate effectively with customers regarding installation options.

• Perform physical activities including lifting, bending, ascending/descending ladders, and operating power tools and motor vehicles.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and comply with safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician certification.

• 4+ years of proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.

• Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical theory.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Experience using electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting problems efficiently.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, including extensive travel (up to 90%).

• Physical capability to handle job demands, including lifting up to 75 pounds.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with business systems like Salesforce.
