Junior Software Engineer

Description:

Ash Global Software is actively seeking a Junior Software Engineer with strong analytical skills to join its team in Laurel, Maryland, on a hybrid basis. In this role, the selected candidate will work as a Computer Software / Integration Analyst for a State of Maryland client project. The role involves supporting software system integration and development tasks while collaborating with a cross-functional team to optimize application performance and business processes.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining seamless system integrations using tools such as React.js, Power Apps, and ServiceNow, ensuring the interoperability, scalability, and performance of software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing software systems and integration points to recommend enhancements.

• Design and develop robust integration solutions using React.js, Power Apps, APIs, and data transformation tools.

• Support onboarding and migration of new applications within existing IT infrastructure.

• Document software architecture, integration logic, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and develop technical solutions.

• Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution for integration workflows and system performance.

• Ensure integrations comply with security protocols, scalability requirements, and industry standards.

• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure system functionality and data accuracy.

• Administer and configure ServiceNow, including upgrades, monitoring, documentation, and support.

• Build custom dashboards, reports, and manage user access and security within ServiceNow.

Education & Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in software integration or development.

• Certifications preferred:

  • ServiceNow Administrator or Developer Certification

  • Cloud Certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

General Experience:

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including maintenance and support phases.

• Understanding of phased system implementation: requirements analysis, design, site survey, testing, and integration.

• Experience in working with various business domains including office automation, finance, and accounting.

• Ability to participate in technical design and contribute to formal design and review processes.
