Lead Geomatics Specialist – 4D Nav LLC

4D Nav is looking for an experienced Lead Geomatics Specialist to join our team in Houston.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who wants to remain actively involved in project execution while also providing leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight to our Geomatics and Data Management Team.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading and mentoring the Geomatics and Data Management Team
Rig and vessel transit planning
Metrology processing and QC
Multibeam processing and QC
Photogrammetry processing
Geodatabase creation and management
Survey and geospatial data QC
Preparation and review of technical deliverables
Supporting offshore and onshore project teams
Developing and improving technical workflows and data-management processes

We are looking for someone with a strong background in geomatics, hydrography, offshore surveying, GIS, or geospatial data processing who is comfortable both providing technical leadership and performing the work themselves.

Experience with offshore construction, rig moves, metrology, multibeam, photogrammetry, and subsea survey operations is highly desirable. Strong familiarity with subsea infrastructure is essential, including field layouts, pipelines, flowlines, umbilicals, cables, wells, manifolds, structures, and other offshore assets.
