Description:

CSA Group, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification with over a century of experience in establishing safety and performance standards, is seeking a Director, Learning and Development to lead its global CSA Academy and Learning Centers. This leadership position is focused on developing a comprehensive learning strategy, driving organizational culture transformation, and implementing innovative learning and development initiatives worldwide.

As the Director, you will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals, oversee the design and delivery of leadership and talent programs, and act as a key ambassador for a learning-driven organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the global CSA Academy strategy.

  • Lead the design and execution of leadership, management, and talent development programs.

  • Align initiatives with organizational strategy and provide expert consultation on performance and culture improvements.

  • Oversee the Learning Management System, ensuring effective compliance training and employee engagement.

  • Coach senior leaders on organizational change management, providing tools and process support.

  • Introduce best practices and innovative learning methodologies to enhance global performance.

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for learning initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the VP, Talent and Career Development on employee career growth programs.

  • Conduct organizational assessments, including engagement and culture surveys, and implement strategic interventions.

  • Lead a team of Learning & Development practitioners to deliver impactful programs across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Adult Education, Human Resources, or Organizational Development.

  • Minimum 10 years of learning and development experience with 5+ years of leadership and management experience.

  • Advanced facilitation, consulting, and presentation skills.

  • Experience in adult education within corporate environments.

  • Strong understanding of diverse learning delivery methods (classroom, online, virtual, blended, social).

  • Proven ability to lead strategically, influence stakeholders, and execute learning strategies effectively.
