Jobot is seeking experienced Medical Malpractice Defense Attorneys to join one of the New York Metropolitan Area’s most established and respected civil negligence defense law firms. With a history spanning over 70 years, the firm is known for its elite litigation services and trusted representation of major insurance carriers across a wide range of liability matters. This position offers remote and hybrid flexibility, with no in-office requirement other than court appearances.

As a key member of the medical malpractice defense team, you will be responsible for defending hospitals, physicians, and healthcare professionals in complex litigation cases. Your contributions will be integral to the continued success of the firm’s high-profile medical and hospital malpractice practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent healthcare providers and institutions in medical malpractice and negligence litigation.

• Handle general liability matters, including slip and fall, premises liability, labor law, and construction defect cases.

• Engage in motion practice, depositions, discovery, and court appearances.

• Collaborate with a seasoned team of insurance defense attorneys.

• Opportunity to participate as 1st or 2nd chair in trials, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical malpractice and/or insurance defense litigation.

• Strong litigation and case management skills.

• Experience in general liability defense (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trial experience (1st or 2nd chair).

• Background in construction accident or professional liability defense is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $150,000 to $175,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
