Long Term Substitute Theater Instructor

Description:

English High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Theatre Arts Instructor to serve as a long-term substitute. The role involves teaching three high school theatre classes (primarily juniors and seniors) and one 7th-grade class daily. The position is set in a fully equipped theatre facility, complete with a green room and dressing rooms.

Schedule:

• Hours: 7:10 AM – 2:30 PM
• Non-Teaching/Planning Hours:
  • 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM – 12:25 PM
  • 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
• Flexibility: Applicants who may only be available for certain days will also be considered. Additionally, leaving at 1:30 PM on select days can be accommodated.

Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging and dynamic theatre arts classes for students across grade levels.
• Foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence in students through theatre education.
• Utilize the school's theatre space to provide hands-on, performance-based learning experiences.
• Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge students. You have freedom to design units and lessons based on your personal expertise.
