Maintenance Electrician

Clarios is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for its long-established battery manufacturing plant in Canby, Oregon. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems that support round-the-clock production. The ideal candidate will bring solid industrial maintenance experience, particularly with electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide array of industrial equipment while working compressed night shifts. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe work practices, adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, conveyors, robotics, and production systems.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

• Work with electrical circuits (120V, 208V, 480V), VFDs, soft starters, and PLCs.

• Execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment functionality.

• Operate machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and saws when needed.

• Perform diagnostics, part replacements, and system adjustments on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.

• Strong mechanical and electrical repair background.

• Proven experience with 480V electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance.

• PLC troubleshooting knowledge preferred.

• Ability to interpret technical manuals and work orders.

Work Schedule:

• Shift: Continuous Night Shift

• Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Schedule: Compressed 3/4/4/3 schedule (3 days on, 4 off, 4 on, 3 off)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Wage: Up to $45.77 (Monthly: approx. $7,933)

  • Quarterly bonus (up to 4% of annual salary based on plant performance)
