Description:
Rutledge Group Resources, Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing) to join its team in Magnolia, AR. This role plays a vital part in the overall success of the manufacturing team by applying technical knowledge to an operational manufacturing environment. The engineer will be responsible for supporting product development, process improvement, and operational efficiency through a combination of hands-on engineering, ERP integration, and Lean manufacturing principles.
The selected candidate will document manufacturing specifications and processes for both new and existing product lines, while also supporting the integration of the ERP (Epicor) system into the manufacturing environment. The role involves active participation in capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including the development of Statements of Work (SOW), ROI calculations, and management presentations, as well as overseeing approved projects to completion.
Key responsibilities include designing workflow improvements and increasing throughput using Lean principles, supporting 3D CAD product design library management (3D modeling, 2D drafting, file management, and revision control), and contributing to the quality engineering team’s testing and procedures for both new and existing products. The engineer will assist in creating new product work instructions, support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) efforts through tooling and equipment selection, and establish standards for digitizing and cataloguing products and materials.
The role also requires close collaboration with operations management and plant employees to align manufacturing processes with organizational needs, as well as active participation in industry continuing education. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct support to ensure products are fabricated and assembled to meet intended design functionality.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and Lean principles.
Proficiency in CAD software, engineering design tools, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to take initiative, show resourcefulness, and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Dependability and commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
