Medical Billing Specialist

Description:

Seeking for an experienced Patient Access/Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in either Geneva or Penn Yan, New York. The ideal candidate will have prior medical office experience, medical terminology knowledge, and at least 2 years of experience in Patient Access and/or Patient Financial Services.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and manage medical billing and coding
- Ensure accurate and efficient scheduling and staffing
- Process payroll and monitor productivity and quality of work
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures
- Verify daily census and monitor duplicate medical record numbers and insurance errors
- Correct errors, provide feedback and training, and identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior medical office experience and medical terminology knowledge
- Experience with CPT and ICD10 coding
- Experience with cash collections and balancing
- 2 years of experience in Patient Access and/or Patient Financial Services
