Medical Practice Manager

Carolina Kidney Associates is a well-established, physician-owned private nephrology practice in Greensboro, NC, committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality kidney care. The practice is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, support strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of teamwork and service excellence.

The Practice Manager will be responsible for operational, financial, and personnel management, including overseeing office workflows, billing, scheduling, and compliance. They will provide financial oversight in collaboration with an external accounting consultant, manage accounts payable, and supervise administrative and clinical staff. The role also involves ensuring regulatory compliance (HIPAA, OSHA), collaborating with physicians to optimize processes and patient care, leading growth projects, and managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical practice management; nephrology or specialty practice experience strongly preferred

• Leadership and personnel management skills in healthcare settings

• Knowledge of medical billing, coding, reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid

• Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare IT solutions

• Strong financial acumen and ability to act on financial reports

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Traits:

• Experience in a physician-owned or private practice setting

• Understanding nephrology operations (in-center dialysis, CKD management, hospital rounding)

• Ability to balance clinical and business priorities
