Merchandiser

Description:

O'Reilly Auto Parts is looking for a Merchandiser/Cashier to join their team in Pueblo, CO. This dual-role position involves greeting customers, assisting them on the sales floor, merchandising stock, and performing cashier duties with efficiency and friendliness. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply to help serve a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandiser Role:

• Greet customers on the sales floor and assist in locating merchandise or direct to parts specialists for hard-to-find items.

• Check in, price, and stock merchandise according to company planograms and display guidelines.

• Keep merchandise displays full, fronted, and clean daily.

• Implement display changes, price changes, and ensure all sale signs and flyers are properly placed and removed after sales end.

• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and processing overstock returns.

• Collaborate with the manager to complete store tasks and weekly team duties.

• Act as the main deterrent for shoplifting and provide front floor security.

• Assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.

• Follow company policies for clocking in and out.

Cashier Role:

• Process customer purchases of front floor merchandise quickly and courteously.

• Handle merchandise returns efficiently and with excellent customer service.

• Support the sales counter by completing transactions, handling payments (cash, checks, credit cards), especially during busy times or when the express lane is not in use.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities:

Required:

• Good aptitude for working with numbers and sequences.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Good organizational skills.

Desired:

• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.

• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

• Fluency in multiple languages, Spanish highly desired.
