Mortgage Loan Originator

Description:

First Western Trust is seeking a motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to join its Bozeman team. This role focuses on helping high-net-worth clients achieve their financial goals by providing expert mortgage solutions. The Mortgage Loan Originator will develop and maintain a referral network, analyze client financial data, and oversee the mortgage process from initial inquiry to closing while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a referral network through prospecting, networking, cold-calling, and community outreach.

• Spend more than 50% of time soliciting new mortgage loan business outside the office.

• Conduct interviews with potential applicants and analyze financial and credit information.

• Ensure all loan applications are complete and submitted within 72 hours.

• Oversee loan transactions through processing and closing, maintaining excellent communication with Realtors, clients, and internal teams.

• Complete loan disclosures accurately and timely, adhering to TILA, RESPA, and MDIA regulations.

• Provide exceptional customer service and meet critical deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

• Active NMLS registration required.

• Strong understanding of mortgage regulations including SAFE Act, Dodd-Frank, HMDA, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, Fair Lending, and Fair Housing Act.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, loan origination systems, and loan pricing engines.

• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide accurate mortgage solutions.

• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented, independent, and team-oriented mindset.
