Museum Visitor Services Assistant

Required Qualifications

• KU Student must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester during the academic year. Enrollment of one (1) hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled in the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term.
• Excellent verbal communications skills.
• Attention to details.
• Experience in handling money/cash register experience.
• Must be dependable, able to work independently, and have the ability to work and talk with a diverse population.
• Must have availability to work shifts during the weekend, breaks, and in the summer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with the public.
• Major in biology, geology, archaeology, museum studies, communications, marketing, business, or other field related to the operation of a natural history museum.
