Nuclear Project Support Specialist

 

Description:

ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Nuclear Project Support Specialist to work on-site in Richland, WA, supporting one of their clients in the energy sector. This full-time role involves providing administrative and technical support for project documentation, SharePoint site development, records retention, and project phase support (startup and closeout), including tasks related to biennial refueling outages.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project documentation, advanced administrative tasks, and technical support within a nuclear power plant environment. The position requires excellent communication skills, a high level of organization, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with limited supervision using discretion and sound judgment.

  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites to support project documentation and retention needs.

  • Provide training and technical support to project team members on document handling and SharePoint usage.

  • Maintain and organize records, track document actions, and ensure proper archival.

  • Support project closeout activities: scanning, duplication, transmitting, and archiving documents.

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for new hires and contractors, including SSIS, documentation, training, and termination processing.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.

  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to provide updates and training.

  • Participate in project planning, task prioritization, and outage support efforts.

  • Perform additional administrative or technical duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract restrictions.

  • Degree and experience combination as listed above.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Previous administrative experience at a commercial nuclear facility is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with company policies and document handling systems (e.g., Asset Suite) is a plus.

  • At least 2 years of experience with advanced document editing using Microsoft Word.
