Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join its Cardiology team. This role involves providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings to adult general cardiology patients. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for performing EKGs, Holter monitoring placement, and administering emergency IVs. Candidates must have prior cardiology experience and be prepared for rotating overnight call duties as well as weekend inpatient coverage.

The position is structured as full-time with four 10-hour shifts, along with weekend and occasional night call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for general cardiology patients.

  • Conduct diagnostic and treatment procedures including EKGs, Holter placement, and emergency IV administration.

  • Participate in rotating overnight call and inpatient weekend hospital coverage.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty certification in cardiology or related field.
