Description:
As a Scenario Designer on the Lattice Showcase team, you will craft compelling and operationally credible demonstrations that showcase Anduril's technology solving real-world defense challenges. You will work closely with product teams, subject matter experts, and military stakeholders to design, implement, and refine mission scenarios that align technical capabilities with customer needs and mission outcomes. Your work will translate complex, multi-product demonstrations into clear, engaging narratives optimized for decision-maker audiences—balancing technical accuracy with storytelling that resonates.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop engaging military scenarios that demonstrate system capabilities and address realistic operational challenges
- Create detailed scenario documentation including mission objectives, environmental conditions, product configurations, and expected outcomes
- Work closely with product teams across autonomy, hardware, and software to understand capabilities that need to be demonstrated, ensuring technical feasibility and optimizing for performance
- Collaborate with the Sand Table team to translate scenario designs into immersive augmented reality experiences
- Prototype scenario concepts to validate designs and gather early feedback
- Identify technical constraints early and develop creative solutions that maintain design integrity while meeting platform requirements
- Gather and incorporate feedback from military stakeholders and internal executive leadership to refine scenario designs
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure scenario authenticity and operational relevance
- Partner with program managers to ensure scenarios align with mission priorities, meet deliverable milestones, and support business development objectives
- Contribute to the development of scenario design frameworks and best practices that enhance team effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Interactive Media, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2+ years of professional experience in scenario design, mission design, level design, or operations analysis for games, interactive simulations, or defense applications
- Portfolio demonstrating scenario/mission/level design work for interactive applications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to create clear design documentation and incorporate stakeholder feedback
- Analytical skills for scenario balancing and iterative design
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine, or modeling and simulation tools
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
