Oss Solution Architect

Description:

Tech Mahindra is seeking a highly experienced OSS Solution Architect to join its team in Tampa, Florida, in a hybrid capacity. This is a pivotal role within the telecom sector, focused on designing and implementing robust, scalable OSS (Operations Support Systems) architectures that support emerging technologies such as 5G, SDN/NFV, and cloud-native frameworks.

As an OSS Solution Architect, you will serve as the technical leader and subject matter expert guiding the architectural strategy of OSS platforms and ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating complex business needs into reliable and future-proof technical blueprints. This role requires a deep understanding of telecom infrastructures, integration strategies, and agile delivery models.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Analyze business and technical requirements and transform them into scalable OSS architectural designs.
🔹 Evaluate and implement OSS tools, platforms, and vendor solutions such as Nokia, Ericsson, Ciena, and Cisco (covering transport, RAN, IP, and network elements).
🔹 Document detailed architecture designs, technical roadmaps, and maintain comprehensive architecture summaries.
🔹 Ensure readiness and compatibility of OSS architecture for next-gen solutions like AI/ML, 5G, SDN, and cloud-native deployments.
🔹 Define program scopes, goals, milestones, and ensure stakeholder alignment through frequent updates.
🔹 Lead cross-team initiatives such as system upgrades, architectural enhancements, and migrations.
🔹 Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure successful execution of architectural strategies.
🔹 Act as liaison between business owners, SMEs, and client points of contact.
🔹 Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, MVP, Feature Delivery) and use project tracking tools like Jira, Kanban, etc.
🔹 Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional stand-ups to maintain project momentum.
🔹 Identify and mitigate delivery risks, manage escalations, and ensure minimal disruption in project execution.
🔹 Track program KPIs and success metrics (OKRs, usage analytics, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
✅ 14+ years in telecom OSS, including 5+ years in a technical architect capacity
✅ Expertise in OSS domains and telecom architectures (IP, transport, RAN, 5G, SDN/NFV)
✅ Proficiency in scripting and programming (Python, Shell, JavaScript)
✅ Experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and cloud environments
✅ Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
✅ Agile and DevOps experience is essential

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual Salary: $135000 to $145000 (approx. $11250–$12083/month)

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance

• Bonuses and variable pay may be included in compensation package
