Outpatient Therapist

Serenity Counseling and Wellness, PLLC is hiring a full-time outpatient therapist to join their thriving, trauma-informed group practice in Inverness, IL. The clinic is especially interested in candidates with a background in Art or Play Therapy to meet the growing demand for child and adolescent services.

This role offers an opportunity to focus on meaningful clinical work with a consistent caseload and strong administrative support. Position Details:

• Type: Full-time W-2 employee role

• Caseload: Expected caseload of 25–28 clients per week

• Schedule: Afternoon/evening hours (3–6 PM) required at least 3 days a week

• Location: In-person work required; limited telehealth optional for appropriate clients

• Supervision: In-house supervision available for provisionally licensed clinicians

• License: Provisionally licensed clinicians (LPC, LSW) and new grads are welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized treatment plans

• Provide behavioral therapy and mental health counseling, including play and art therapy techniques

• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver services to clients

• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed and support trauma response initiatives

Who We're Looking For:

Required:

• Licensed or provisionally licensed in Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist)

• Experience providing outpatient therapy to children, teens, or families

• Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches

• Comfortable using electronic records and telehealth (when needed)

Preferred:

• Experience or certification in Play Therapy or Art Therapy

• Background in treating trauma, ADHD, ASD, or anxiety in youth

• Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or working toward the credential
