Description:
As a Primary Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering meaningful therapy that makes a real difference in the lives of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Therapeutic Facilitation: Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using Newport Healthcare’s unique clinical model and the principles of Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT).
- Family Liaison: Act as the primary clinical contact for families, ensuring clear and proactive communication throughout the treatment process to enhance family involvement and support.
- Comprehensive Assessment: Perform risk assessments and develop safety plans upon admission, followed by thorough biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including a psychiatrist, to establish and monitor treatment goals. Participate in regular 30-day treatment plan reviews to ensure alignment and progress.
- Documentation Management: Maintain clinical records, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with organizational standards.
- Crisis Intervention: Conduct risk or crisis assessments and implement appropriate interventions to manage acute situations effectively.
- Team Engagement: Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, staff gatherings, and clinical supervision to promote a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Organizational Representation: Represent Newport Healthcare at professional meetings, trainings, and conferences, advocating for our mission and clinical practices within the broader community.
