An esteemed and internationally recognized law firm is seeking a Private Client Services Associate Attorney to join its thriving practice in either Los Angeles, California or New York, New York. The successful candidate will have between 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in handling complex and high-value matters related to estate planning, taxation, and trust and estate administration for high-net-worth individuals and families. Applicants must possess a strong command of advanced estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax planning strategies, including but not limited to:

  • Grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs)

  • Qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs)

  • Charitable remainder trusts (CRTs)

  • Family limited partnerships (FLPs) and LLCs

  • Installment sales to intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs)

  • Asset protection strategies and cross-border estate planning (preferred)

The role involves working closely with clients to craft sophisticated estate plans that align with their financial goals, legacy intentions, and tax optimization objectives.
