Procurement Specialist

Description:

• Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with IT suppliers.

• Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes.

• Collaborates and supports IT stakeholders.

• Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFI’s and RFP’s, documents bid events through correspondence to suppliers

• Develops selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with a cross-functional teams; conducts supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management.

• Gains alignment from stakeholders, leads cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implements appropriate supplier risk analysis

• Executes and sustains effective Global Procurement strategies, systems, processes and tools to enable simplification, standardization, leverage and compliance across the Company.

• Collects, analyzes and audits data in support of managing spend, ensuring sourcing process compliance, developing plans for procurement, managing transportation and expediting or troubleshooting delivery of quality materials and services. Provides a comprehensive, sustainable and cost-effective supplier base for the company, while minimizing supply risk.

• Monitors supplier performance to ensure that delivery dates and technical and contractual requirements are met.

• Participates in strategic meetings with suppliers and business leaders to ensure execution of defined strategies.

• Manages day-to-day on-going category supplier relations and seeks out growth or revision opportunities within supply base.

• Acts as the internal point of contact for supplier management and complaint resolution; conducts regular supplier meetings and implements improvement strategies with suppliers.

• Creates, nurtures, and enhances supplier relationships.

• Adheres to company Savings goals and reviewing financial models for commodity type items.

• Ensures spend portfolio for reoccurring managed spend is balanced through coordinated sourcing waves and leveraged with sourcing methodology.

• Drives consolidation of IT spend and seeks out synergies across Business Units

• Champions weekly category review meetings with cross-functional teams to manage category performance.

Quals--

• Has at least 7 years of Purchasing and Sourcing experience.

• Has at least 5 years IT product and service purchasing and management experience.

• Professional with significant knowledge within own discipline and knowledge of related disciplines, completing specialized and/or moderately complex tasks under moderate supervision. May supervise employees, focused on task performance and delivery of specialized processes.

• Requires conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and developing knowledge of related job disciplines.

• Has developed a detailed understanding of key business drivers through multiple years of experience.

• May supervise or act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

• Has the ability to understand and influence.

• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team.

• Begins to work independently with minimal to moderate guidance.
