Production Supervisor

Description:

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Supervisor for its manufacturing facility in Lithia Springs, Georgia. This role is responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards, and optimizing team performance to meet production goals. The position operates on a rotating shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to effectively manage production lines and coordinate workflow.

The Production Supervisor will monitor line performance, reallocate manpower as needed, recommend overtime or staffing adjustments, and coordinate with the Operations Planner to align schedules with customer needs. Responsibilities include interviewing and selecting hourly employees, overseeing training and cross-training programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining detailed records related to attendance, evaluations, and safety incidents. This role also involves interpreting blueprints and job orders, motivating staff to meet performance standards, and driving productivity and cost-efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and output targets are met

• Supervise, train, and evaluate hourly employees; handle disciplinary actions and maintain employee relations

• Adjust schedules and manpower to optimize production capacity

• Investigate workplace accidents and implement corrective actions

• Collaborate with other department supervisors to achieve common operational goals

• Maintain accurate production and personnel records

• Implement process improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (required)

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in metal building manufacturing or related field

• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills

• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and production orders

• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements

• Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to changing priorities
