RB Legal Recruiting is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Professional Liability Associate to join a well-established and prominent litigation law firm in Atlanta. The position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of two years of experience practicing civil defense litigation, with a strong preference for professionals who have exposure to professional liability, insurance coverage, or general liability matters. The associate will play a key role in handling complex legal cases involving claims of professional negligence and liability defenses, working closely with senior attorneys and clients to provide effective representation.

This is a partnership-track role, presenting the opportunity for career growth within the firm. The firm offers a competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $170,000 annually, complemented by performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and litigate civil defense cases primarily related to professional liability claims.

• Provide legal advice and defense strategies for clients facing allegations of professional negligence or malpractice.

• Handle cases involving insurance coverage disputes and general liability matters.

• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies and prepare for trial or alternative dispute resolutions.

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

• Maintain client relationships and communicate case progress effectively.

• Stay current on legal developments in professional liability, insurance, and general civil defense litigation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the State Bar of Georgia and in good standing.

• Minimum of 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably with professional liability or insurance coverage focus.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.

• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and growth.
