Our client is currently seeking a talented Project Architect to join their Houston team, as they continue to experience significant growth and expansion. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the design and production process of various projects, coordinating consultant documents, leading client meetings, and overseeing the project team in delivering high-quality project outcomes. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of leading and mentoring project teams, exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Architect at Our client, you will:

  • Collaborate in translating design concepts into comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and effective construction administration.
  • Work closely with the Project Director to create and manage project schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Interface with Authorities Having Jurisdiction for approvals and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to stay informed about construction progress and address project-related matters during the construction phase.
  • Provide documentation for construction changes and meticulously review submittals to ensure alignment with the project's design intent.
  • Lead and direct the design team, including architectural staff and external consultants, ensuring seamless integration and coordination of all project elements.
  • Chair team meetings to address project and technical challenges while ensuring effective coordination.
  • Motivate and mentor the project design and development team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Act as a valuable resource to leadership on practice-related matters, resource requirements, and professional development.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited University.
  • Current registration as an Architect.
  • Self-driven and a team player with exceptional analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in an architectural firm, including 3 years in a project leadership role.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe products, MS Office, and MS Teams.
