Description:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the successful execution of design-build transportation projects. Your role will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, subcontractors, and project partners, ensuring seamless project progression from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation infrastructure projects, overseeing all stages from design to completion.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide leadership in the development of Statements of Qualifications and Technical Proposal Submittals.
- Work closely with Design-Build Engineers and Joint Venture Partners to manage schedules, budgets, and design specifications.
- Advocate for innovative, cost-effective solutions that align with client needs and project objectives.
- Conduct constructability reviews and provide constructive feedback on design deliverables.
- Lead design-build team meetings to ensure alignment across all functions and project goals.
- Manage subcontract negotiations and buyouts, ensuring compliance with project objectives.
- Represent the design-build team in Right of Way (ROW) and Utility Company meetings.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Ensure effective planning and allocation of labor, equipment, and materials in line with project goals.
- Oversee Foremen and Superintendents to ensure timely completion of project milestones and safety objectives.
- Manage inspections, including equipment and utility locates, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor and analyze cost-to-complete reports monthly to ensure financial accountability.
- Track and forecast manpower and equipment needs for the project’s success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and the ability to learn COINS Systems.
- Extensive experience in heavy highway and civil construction.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
