Project Manager

Description:

A leading organization is seeking a Project Manager for a 6+ month contract to support the integration of a newly acquired Delta Dental client. This remote position is best suited for candidates in PST/MST time zones and requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the health plan or insurance industry, particularly within Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and organizational integration.

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in collaborating across business units to ensure readiness for client onboarding. Responsibilities span gap analysis, documentation, stakeholder communication, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), demanding both independence and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate preparations for client onboarding across multiple business units.

• Engage stakeholders to identify process gaps, role clarifications, and dependencies.

• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document both existing and new processes.

• Assist in developing and executing UAT, ensuring quality and completeness.

• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and interdependencies to relevant departments including Finance, Eligibility, Operations, Claims, and Customer Service.

• Support continuous process improvements in response to integration needs.

• Drive tasks proactively, operating independently within a fast-paced environment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Project Management experience in the health plan or insurance industry.

• Proven ability to navigate and function within a mature PMO using standard project management methodologies.

• Strong experience in business process development and implementation.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage complex responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in M&A or organizational integration projects, particularly in healthcare.

• Familiarity with healthcare benefits, eligibility, claims processing, and configuration.

• Proficiency with tools such as Smart Sheets, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.
